What's a DSP?
Before getting started, it's important to know what a DSP is. A Demand Side Platform (DSP) is one of the key elements within programmatic advertisement. It's a platform where advertisers generate and manage the demand of ad space through the AdExchanges (the place where supply and demand meet).
Thanks to these Demand Side Platforms, all the ad-buying process becomes more efficient: instead of having to buy ad space through contracts with different websites, these tools use algorithms that allow advertisers to reach their target audience using automation.
These platforms have their own segmentation criteria that allows businesses to reach their target audience wherever they are. This means that, instead of showing the ads in predetermined websites, the DSP will take care of managing your ads and show them to a specific audience no matter what pages they visit.
The fact that DSPs allow you to segment the audience and that work using automation means two things: lower cost per impresion and quality audience.
RTBmind is a DSP
RTBmind is one of those DSPs. Usually, companies need to make a considerable investment to be able to use a DSP platform - something many agencies and most of the small and medium-sized businesses can't afford. One of the main advantages of RTBmind is that it allows those type of companies to manage their own RTB campaigns and, moreover, it doesn't require a minimum budget to get started.
The RTBmind platform works like any other DSP: you create the campaign, you activate it, and it runs by itself using automation. The programmatic purchase engine takes care of bidding, optimizing, analyzing, etc. Clients can download daily reports with information about the campaign and make the changes they consider necessary (for example, changing the segmentation criteria or the amount invested in the campaign).
